Buying Equipment

Items such as simple feeders, bird tables, nest boxes and some types of foods for birds can be bought locally, at pet shops, garden centres and similar retailers. Although convenient, such purchases may not be advisable, as the merchandise is often substandard and could be unsuitable and even harmful. It is preferable to buy, using the post if necessary, from a reputable specialised firm which offers equipment and foods for birds that have been carefully designed and manufactured for the purpose, and whose staff are very willing to offer expert advice with regard to choosing equipment and associated matters.
