Snow Goose

Anser caerulescens

There are several races of these North American geese represented in the feral population in Britain. They were recorded at 27 sites (182 birds) in 1991. The population of 40 to 50 birds centred on Coll and Mull regularly breed. Other recent breeding records come from Hampshire, Berkshire, Norfolk and Bedfordshire.
