Coconut

Tits, together with Nuthatches and woodpeckers, enjoy coconut, which is best provided in the shell, sawn in half and hung upside down. Empty shells can also be used to hold food. Desiccated coconut, however, should never be offered, as it swells up inside the birds' stomachs and kills them.
