Peter Weaver

Peter Weaver was born in Lincolnshire in 1944 and was educated at the Stamford School and the University of Cambridge. After a career in school teaching, he is now a freelance author, tutor and lecturer in ornithology -- his main interest since 1958.

His best-known book is The Birdwatcher's Dictionary published by T. and A. D. Poyser in 1981. He is particularly interested in seabirds, especially the Northern Fulmar, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Seabird Group.

Peter lives with his wife and two children in the Isle of Man.
