White Stork

Ciconia ciconia

A pair nested on St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh in 1416. One or two birds have sometimes been present in East Anglia and other parts of England during the summer. An apparently free-flying pair in a North Nottinghamshire collection apparently bred successfully in 1999!
