Wildfowl

The members of the family Anatidae, which contains the swans, geese and ducks. the term 'waterfowl' may also be used to refer specifically to this family, particularly in North America, but this word can also have a wider meaning, covering birds other than wildfowl living on or beside water, such as the divers (family Gaviidae) and the grebes (family Podicipedidae).
