Wide-angle binoculars
A pair of binoculars with a particularly wide field of view, a desirable feature for the birdwatcher. Such an instrument may be designated by the letters 'W' or 'WA', for exmple '8 X 40W'.From Peter Weaver's Birdwatcher's Dictionary
