Sedentary
Not moving far at any time. There are few truly sedentary birds in the British Isles, although many species are described as resident. Examples of species in which the majority of individuals are sedentary are the Dipper Cinclus cinclus and the House Sparrow Passer domesticus.From Peter Weaver's Birdwatcher's Dictionary
