Saltmarsh
saltmarsh An area of intertidal mud which has been colonised by salt-adapted ('halophytic') plants such as glasswort (Salicornia) and seablite (Suaeda). Saltmarshes typically have a branching network of muddy creeks. They are particularly attractive to Dabbling Duck and many types of wader.From Peter Weaver's Birdwatcher's Dictionary
