Ornithosis
A disease commonly found in birds, notably in pigeons (family Columbidae). It is also called 'psittacosis' because of its prevalence in members of the parrot family (Psittacidae). It is characterised by diarrhoea and rapid loss of weight.From Peter Weaver's Birdwatcher's Dictionary
