Marsh cowboy
An irresponsible wildfowl shooter who may disregard the ethics of wildfowling and the provisions of the bird protection laws. Marsh cowboys cannot be regarded as true wildfowlers and are usually simply young people fooling around with guns.From Peter Weaver's Birdwatcher's Dictionary
