Lesser Redpoll
The subspecies of the Redpoll Carduelis flammea breeding in the British Isles and central Europe, with the scientific name C.f. cabaret. Examples of the Mealy Redpoll C.f. flammea, which breeds in northern Eurasia and northern North America, and the Greenland Redpoll C.f. rostrata, also occur in the British Isles.From Peter Weaver's Birdwatcher's Dictionary
