Iridescent
Reflecting colours in bright light which are less obvious or even invisible in poor light. Irridescence results from feather structure, and occurs usually as a blue, purple or green gloss on dark plumage, notably on ducks (family Anatidae) and crows (family Corvidae).From Peter Weaver's Birdwatcher's Dictionary
