International Ornithological Congress

An event which first took place in Vienna in 1884 and is held every four years in different locations, being an international scientific conference dealing with all aspects of ornithology. These meetings are organised by the International Ornithological Committee, and the proceedings of each are published. The seventeenth congress was held in West Berlin in 1978.
