Hastings Rarities
A series of rarity records claimed for the Hastings district of Sussex between 1892 and 1930, but now considered as unacceptable because deceit is strongly suspected. A total of 594 such claims involving 16 species has been rejected as a result of research findings published in 1962 by E. M. Nicholson, I. J. Ferguson-Lees and J. A. Nelder. From Peter Weaver's Birdwatcher's Dictionary
