Variety
A strain or breed of domestic livestock, the term not being used with reference to types of wild animals. Examples of varieties of domestic birds are Khaki Campbell and Indian Runner Ducks, both descended ultimately from the wild Mallard Anas platyrhynchos, despite their lack of resemblance to it and to each other.From Peter Weaver's Birdwatcher's Dictionary
