Trachea

This is the windpipe and connects the back of the mouth with the lungs. It is often called the larynx where it leaves the back of the mouth and this is where mammals have their vocal chords. The other end (including the two bronchi leading into the lungs) is the syrinx. This is vital for birds to produce song and calls.
