Siberian Stonechat

A Stonechat Saxicola torquata of one of the Asian subspecies which have the scientific name S.t. maura or S.t. stejnegeri. (As well as the British breeding race S.t. hibernans there are several continental European subspecies). Birds showing the characters of these Siberian races (perhaps merely aberrant individuals of European subspecies) are rare visitors to the British Isles.
