Red-spotted Bluethroat
The subspecies of the Bluethroat Luscinia svecica which breeds in northern Europe and northern Asia and which occurs regularly in the British Isles. Its scientific name is L.s. svecica. The 'White-spotted Bluethroat' is the subspecies which breeds in central and southern Europe east to Russia, and this too has occurred in the British Isles, though rarely.
