Faeces

The waste product from the alimentary system, expelled through the cloaca along with the urine, which is produced by excretion from the kidneys. The faeces forms the dark part of a bird dropping. Faecal analysis can be useful in studying the food of birds but as in pellet analysis it over-emphasises the intake of food items with hard indigestible parts.
