Clutch
A set of eggs laid by a single female in a single nesting attempt. In ornithological 'shorthand' a clutch of three eggs may be written 'c/3'. Clutch size can vary considerably in a species which is not a determinate layer, and in some cases dump nesting can produce apparently very large clutches. From Peter Weaver's Birdwatcher's Dictionary
