British Birds
A monthly magazine for birdwatchers, covering all aspects of ornithology, with some emphasis on identification and rarity recording. It is partly scientific and partly informal, and is illustrated with photographs and drawings. 'BB' is closely connected with the 'official' side of British ornithology and publishes the annual reports of the Rare Breeding Birds Panel and its own Rarities Committee. The journal was founded in 1907 by H. F. Witherby, publisher and principal author of The Handbook of British Birds (1941). Since 1980, 'BB' has been published by its four-man editorial board from Fountains, Park Lane, Blunham, Bedford, UK.From Peter Weaver's Birdwatcher's Dictionary
